Nestled high in the Andes Mountains is one of the most spectacular sights I’ve ever had the privilege of seeing. My father, my brother, and I took the trip for my dad’s birthday a few years ago because it was something he’s always wanted to see.
After taking the unbelievably amazing Hiram Bingham train we finally arrived with our private guide to one of the 7 wonders of the world.
The first glance of Machu Picchu felt surreal. It didn’t feel real that something so magical could exist in such a remote area.
On either edge was a straight drop down, making it even more unbelievable that this was built in ancient times with no modern day tools.
Every stone was perfectly cut and perfectly laid. Huge blocks of granite stacked so precise you can’t even fit a hair in between them.
Best of all- LLAMAS! (hayyy)
We spent hours learning about what little THEY even know about this beautiful and mysterious place.
If you are ever wanting the ultimate spiritually awakening trip, visit Machu Picchu. It will forever live in your dreams. Hopefully one day I will go back.
