Petra, the “Lost City”, has always been high on my bucket list. It’s an ancient city filled with mystery, history, and beauty. When my friends over at My Jordan Journey invited me to come see their amazing country I instantly jumped on the opportunity. I’m still over here for a few more days but I HAD to share some of my pictures that I took while exploring Petra. Most of the pictures are still on my camera but don’t worry… I’ll have them up asap when I’m home!
The entrance is a labyrinth of impressively colorful canyons that lead you to the Treasury. Walking through you feel as though you’ve stepped back in time and are amongst the Nabateans. Once out of the labyrinth you get the first peak of the Treasury and you can’t do anything but just stare. It doesn’t seem real. When people think of Petra they only think of the Treasury, mostly because it is the most photographed part, but there is so much more to Petra than just the treasury. It’s is a huge area with so much to see. Enjoy the pictures and more to come soon!
