Located high up in the mountains of Costa Rica lies the enchanting Cloud Forest in the beautiful city of Monteverde. Before going I wasn’t quite sure what a ‘cloud forest’ was so I looked it up. A cloud forest is a subtropical forest that has a constant cloud cover. When we arrived to our wonderful hotel we were quickly greeted with the clouds and were instantly at peace, it feels like you’re in heaven. We spent a wonderful day exploring all of the trails, lush greens, huge towering trees, and suspension bridges that the Cloud Forest offers. You feel like you’re walking in a dream with the clouds covering the lush grounds around you. The hike can be quite physical at times, but worth it. If you’re ever in Costa Rica, make sure to stop in Monteverde and spend a day hiking the Cloud Forest. It’s the perfect girls getaway weekend. Enjoy the pictures!
