Hey everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend… I know I did! We went to Miami and ayi dios mio was it fun. My friends and I have a friend visiting from Australia and she flew into the Miami airport Sunday so we just had to make a weekend out of it and stay in Miami. It only seems logical, right? So we decided to be really fancy and stay at the Fontainbleau on Miami Beach. If you ever decide to get away for a weekend I would definitely reccommend it. The beach behind it is gorgeous, they have great restaurants in the hotel, there is plenty of nightlife, and the pool is always the place to be. The first night we got there we decided to have dinner in the hotel at a restaurant called “La Cote”. It was… awesome. It’s all outdoors with great music and delicious food. We decided on splitting a bunch of tapas with a bottle of wine, of course. The next morning we decided to go to to this AMAZING place for brunch. The hotel is called the Soho house. I think next time I stay in Miami I’m going to stay there. It was a little boutique hotel that was just absolutely darling. Every Sunday they have a fabulous brunch where the put out quite a spread! You have omelettes, pancakes, fruits, pastries, risotto, carving startions, delicious French presses full of strong coffee, etc. You name it, they have it! But… what really convinced me to try it out… a complimentary belinni or mimosa with brunch. Uh, yes please! After we stuffed our faces we went back to the hotel in a food coma. That night after we picked up our friend from the airport we went this this fabulous Japanese restaurant in the hotel for some cocktails and appetizers. I’m noticing a trend with appetizers and drinks, aren’t you? The next day we had a nice little breakfast and went by the beach. It was gorgeous out. We couldn’t stay too long because we have to drive back to the other coast for a nice family cookout! That was my weekend! How was yours? All the pictures were taken with my iphone. 🙂

Sounds like you had a great time! Question, when you mentioned driving back to the other coast, are you meaning California. My husband and I have driven to Dallas TX and New Orlean’s, but on business trips and it takes us 3 days. Being that this was only a 3 day weekend. We have friends in both Miami and Boca.
Hi Patti!
