7 Things You Must Do In Santorini

Santorini is without a doubt on just about everyone’s bucklist and for good reason. It’s a magical destination perfectly situated high above the indigo blue water of the caldera. The terracing of the traditional Greek white washed buildings make for the perfect pictures. I was lucky enough to visit a few years back and I absolutely loved it. Here’s what I recommend!

1. Tour one of the amazing wineries on the island… and of course have a wine tasting by the caldera

2. Rent a car and drive the whole island. You’d be surprised at how large Santorini is and there are amazing stop offs for pictures, pottery, wineries, and food

3. Stop off at the beautiful Red Beach

4. I think this should go without saying…but EAT EVERYTHING. Greek food to this day is still one of my favorite cuisines of all time

5. Rent a sailboat for the day and sail around the caldera. My friends and I rented one for the day and was wined and dined to the max. It was an incredible experience and one that  highly recommend. Click here for who I used!

6.Explore the ruins of Akrotiri. Once a thriving settlement, this city was destroyed by the volcano in 1627 BC. The ruins are being excavated and it is now a museum.

7.Get lost in the famous city of Oia. When you see pictures of Santorini, it is here that they are taken. It is about as classic Santorini as it gets and absolutely stunning. My favorite was finding a rooftop bar and watching the sunset behind the windmills.
